Wedding: Wine & Chocolate
S&S's wedding weekend continues...
Between the ceremony at St. Christopher and the reception, all the guests were invited to Rustico on Love Point (how appropriate!) for wine and cheese and chocolate. Right up my alley! I tried 2 of the reds and a white, starting with the Sierra Collado above. I really liked the red by the little roast beef toasts, I think it was the shiraz. Anyhow, loved having glass in hand and catching up with friends I hadn't seen in a while!
And look at the chocolate lobsters and buckeyes! You know I couldn't say "no" to these.
Guests spilled out to the patio area, lingered in side, sipped and ate.

Wedding Weekend: Sarah & Steve
Wedding weekend. A beautiful weekend. The setting was perfect, the couple was obviously happy, and it was a crowd of friends and family. My dear friend Sarah got married this weekend in Maryland. It's crazy for me to think how long we've known each other now. Nearly 10 years, since it's 10 years since we applied to Darden, and we were roommates that first year. Sight unseen, just an exchange of emails and maybe a phone call. And clearly worked out quite well.
The flowers at the church and the reception were gorgeous. I couldn't help but take a few shots. And the bridesmaids bouquets were pretty in pink.
We were right on the water, so sipped champagne while the sun set.
And I'll have a whole week of posts because I can't just sum it up with these pictures. More to come!

Sarah's Getting Married!
One my very good Darden girlfriends, Sarah, is getting married! She deserves only the best, so it was so nice to start the wedding celebration with a shower and girl's time this weekend in Washington DC.
Champagne, cheese, sweets, good friends, faces I haven't seen in years...it made for a lovely morning and afternoon. The weather was sunny and we were on a cute little cobble stone street with yummy food. Yes, of course there are food pics.
After the shower, we gathered for spa time and more champagne. And then dinner and a little sparkling rose to toast. The celebration will continue in October at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Only 6 weeks away, but not soon enough. I miss my time with the girls.Champagne, cheese, sweets, good friends, faces I haven't seen in years...it made for a lovely morning and afternoon. Our Own Middleton
While Catherine dropped the Middleton for her new royal life, we gained a Middleton in our family this year. We finally finished all the wedding celebrations this month with the celebratory party for friends and family in New Hampshire at the Three Chimneys Inn.

Florida, Wedding, and Food!
Nothing helps make an event great more than friends, family and food. So the wedding was perfect, great amounts of all three! You know it wouldn't be me if I didn't photograph the food. I think there may even be a picture of the official photographer taking a picture of me taking a picture of my dinner. Oh well! Everyone can laugh, but I love my food pictures.
But we had a little more cake the next day because my sister brought over the top. So we sampled. Sorry about that whole eating it one year later thing, dear sister. I swear it tasted better one day later than it would have a year later anyway.
And my perfect dessert at the rehearsal dinner. When that brownie and ice cream came, I was in heaven. I didn't even touch the other two.
How can you go to south Florida and not have a cuban inspired sandwich and plantains? I will say I still enjoy Porto's in Southern California.
This is a semi-food picture, in that I thought it was a cute picture that included the bride and groom, and the table we all gathered at for dinner.
Starting the evening with conch chowder and tiger shrimp and risotto for dinner (my choices).
And wrapping up the evening with cake and a mini cake (care of the Little Wedding Cake Company at Limelight). The wedding cake was delicious, even if it did have fruit on it, haha. I think fondant is a love or hate thing. And my sister and I like it.

Wedding Weekend
You'll have to just indulge me. There is no theme to my post tonight, just pictures from the weekend. Alas, don't fear, dear readers. For my next two posts I'll be back on familiar ground (food post!), just in the Florida Keys.
The bouquet was so pretty and smelled so nice! Mary, the planner, and I discussed how there was one flower in particular that was pretty and smelled great mixed in here. Not being a flower person, I'm not sure what it was. Mary knew, I should have remembered!
Long way from home!
I love these chairs on the dock at Little Palm Island, just in case you didn't know.
I'm letting another picture of actual people sneak in, we had so much fun touring. Well, I was actually my sister's assistant, coming with her to "take notes" of course.
There was quite a bit of wildlife on this trip: pelicans, roosters, deer, iguanas.
And here is where we stayed, Parmer's Resort, just about a mile from the Little Palm Island boat pick up on shore. Very cute and relaxing.

My Sister Got Married!
We just got back from an amazing weekend where my sister because Mrs. Middleton. It was absolutely wonderful to share the moment with her, I'm such a proud older sister at the moment. The whole day felt truly special and I am so happy they are so happy and in love. I can't help it!
And somehow I have over 650 pictures?!?! Well, as M says, digital pictures are free. I need to sit down and weed out the blurry ones and upload the good ones. But I can't help but post a preview....
We had a great weekend with family and friends, and it was so nice to really get to know everyone over the few days we were all together. Just a few travel mishaps, a celeb to assist in the wedding chair setup, and perfect weather.
The wedding took place on the dock where the boat come in, this is a shot from the day before. I'll take one of those chairs and a beverage! Actually make that a caiparinha. Which we did have during our morning island tour the day prior to the wedding. S thought we might need to relax. And it did the trick!
Sunset on Little Palm Island (and some random frolicking couple in the background). The lighting was perfect. Everyone needs that kind of lighting all the time, you look glowing! Which the new couple did, they were glowing.
I loved this one, just because you can see the smile in their eyes. And they are also eating cake, how can you not be happy?
